IMCAP-ND LEVEL 2 Online Course 

The IMCAP-ND level 2 is for certified music therapists who have already completed level 1 course and are seeking to deepen their understanding the everyday practical use of the assessment instrument. The level 2  course provides therapists with an in-depth understanding of the IMCAP-ND. The course provides therapists with real life practical experience and guidance of administering and completing IMCAP-ND assessments for two (2) clients.

All participants enrolling in the IMCAP-ND level 2 course will have already completed the level 1 course. The course will have between 6-8 participants. The course is divided into six (6) 2 hour classes that will include:

• in-depth video review (participants will share their clinical work)
• supervision/discussion on administering (including musical protocols) and scoring scoring IMCAP-ND
• guidance on crafting goal statements and assessment reports

FAQs

Is the entire course online?

Yes, the entire course is online and is conducted in real-time and live. Clinical video excerpts will be shared through a secure cloud-base system which will allow all participants to view each others videos before, during and after each class. All course materials will be shared either via email and/or via a cloud-based system.

How long is the course?

The course will include 6 classes each 2 hours in length. The course will meet every other week so that participants have time to practice and prepare materials for each meeting. Participants are required to complete the six (6) 2 hour classes. Classes can not be made up, however, 1:1 supervision sessions with the instructor may be used to make-up for absences. Please note that 1:1 supervision sessions are an additional fee to the participant.
